druhé narozeniny Andulky

Moje miminko Andulka oslavilo druhé narozeniny. Nemůžu uvěřit, jak je to už vlastně velká holčička. Tím, že je to (pravděpodobně) naše poslední dítě, hrozně si užívám tu malinkou fázi a ani moc nechci, aby vyrostla. A tak jí pořád říkám "miminko". Je moc šikovná, naučila se sama chodit na nočník, umí si ledacos sama obléknout, kreslí si, hraje si. Nejradši mám, když si hrajou s Maruškou spolu. Maruška začala před pár dny moc toužit po naušnicích, a tak jsme jí šli nechat propíchnout uši. Bála se a brečela, ale to trvalo jen chvilku. Jsou to fajn děti.

páté narozeniny

Oslavili jsme další předvánoční narozeniny. Je to docela legrační každý rok před vánoci do všeho cukroví, vánoček (tu jsme teda zatím neměli) péct ještě dort. A chystat dárky navíc, resp. řešit, které z dárků dáme jako předvoj Marušce k narozeninám. Letos jsem pozvala k nám domů pár dětí a udělala jsem jim malou párty. Na fotce ale ostatní děti chybí, protože si nějak nechtěly zrovna dát dort :). Mít doma pět dětí mi dalo chvílema zabrat, ale třeba když k  nám přijdou častěji, tak si zvyknou a nebudou tak vyšilovat. A já taky ne.

v pelechu

Včera byly děti hrozně hodný. Vyrobily si takovýhle ležení v obýváku na zemi. Ocitly se nám tu totiž nedopatřením nějaké peřiny navíc.
Dobrá zpráva je, že oba moje obrazy, co jsem darovala na bienále pro diakonii, už mají nové majitele! Zatím nevím, kdo si je koupil. Mám z toho fakt radost, zamluvily se asi hned ten první večer.
Po letech jsme se znova podívali na Ztraceno v překladu, a moc se nám to líbilo. Mně asi víc než tenkrát, když to bylo nové. Skvěle natočený film.

na hřbitově

Včera jsem vzala poprvé obě děti na hřbitov. Chtěla jsem jít až na dušičky, ale tak nějak to vyšlo, že jsme šli už o den dřív. Měli jsme tady taky malého kamaráda Josífka, a tak jsem ho vzala s sebou. Bylo to moc fajn, dětem se tam moc líbilo a mně taky. Máme tu malý hřbitůvek, ale má atmosféru. Josífek dával na hroby, které nebyly ozdobené novýma kytkama čerstvé kytičky. Na hřbitovy jsem vždycky chodila hrozně ráda. O den později jsme šly znova, jen já a holky.

Andulka

Tohle děcko mě nepřestává fascinovat. Je tak moc rychlá, aktivní, odvážná, neposlušná, žravá, vymýšlí ptákoviny, k nezastavení. Úplně jiná než Maruška. Sama se snaží oblíkat, obouvat, sama jí. Poslední dobou mám pocit, že celý den jen utírám, co se vylilo, zametám, co se rozsypalo, umývám zapatlané, sbírám rozházené. Je to trochu na hlavu.
Dneska jsem ji dala spát na zahradu do kočárku, do fusaku. A tak jsem tak doma, a najednou tam ona stojí! Prostě nějak vylezla z toho kočáru, v ponožkách, s dudlíkem a plyšovým lišákem sama došla až do bytu. Někdo jí teda musel otevřít dveře (nevím kdo, bylo tu hodně lidí), ale koukali jsme na ni jak puci.

How quickly time flies! I can´t believe we´re in the middle of September.
We bought few beautiful things: vintage record player and a replica of 50s coffee table. I love our living room.
I made my first plum cake and it´s delicious. Also, brownies, but I´ve made plenty of those before :). Always perfect.

summer dress for Marie

I made a little dress for Marie out of an old tank top. It has two huge holes on the back already. I guess it comes from playing in the garden, climbing trees and other wild outdoor activities. She just loves to wear dresses and play with boys :).

chickenpox

We had such a hard time lately with sick Andulka... She seemed to be back to her old self today, playing happily and eating, so I hope it´s coming to an end.
I´m still not able to paint! It´s a strange situation for me - nothing to do in the evening. I want to do something a bit different, maybe. I´d like to make a comic or some kind of illustrated story. I just need to find the story!

new carpet for the living room

We bought a new carpet for the living room! I´ve wanted one for a long time, but I couldn´t decide if it´s a good idea or not. I hope it won´t get too dirty! I love it. From now on, everything I get for our home must be something that would also fit into villa Vilekulla :). This carpet definitelly looks like that.
I also bought a beautiful floral carpet for the kids room, but I still have to take photos of it. I cleaned the room today, and I want to work on it some more, and I need to take some photos! I would like to make or build some kind of shelter in the girls´room. More about that soon...

Andulka turned one!

Our beautiful baby Anna turned 1 year on 11. 4. Happy birthday, darling!

working on

I´m busy painting - I decided to show only unfinished paintings here. Unless someone comes to our house to look at them, all of the new ones will be a surprise at the exhibition.
Today I tried to do some sewing while Andulína was around, but it was almost impossible. She manages to play on her own only for a very short time, and then keeps just standing by my leg, yelling at me to pick her up :). Also I used to cut my fabric on the floor (there´s nowhere else to do it, actually), and that´s not possible with her, of course. Anyway, there are some very easy projects I´d like to finish soon - some clothes for Marie, so I´ll try to do that as soon as possible.

my two cuties

Sometimes I´m exhausted and often tired, especially mornings are tough... but mostly caring about these two is fine, filled with joy and cuddling. Having a baby besides the big one is definitely challenging. I can´t say I´m bored :). Anna is a very active and loud baby, which makes things harder, obviously, but she´s also very cheerful. She likes a good laugh - she gets that after me, probably :).
Sometimes I get nervous and stressed - especially when preparing to leave the house and trying to be quick. With small children, it´s anything but quick :). Sometimes I´m tired like a horse and my whole body aches. In that case I wrap myself in a blanket (head included) and lie on the floor... the monkeys can jump and scream around - I don´t care!
It´s definitely a huge adventure. I´m also very lucky to have a husband who works at home most times. He may not always help me much, but he´s there, if anything happened.

christmas photos

 Our christmas day was fine, but a little bit sad this year. I was so much looking forward to christmas this year (wait, last year!), but in the end it all went wrong. Marie was very ill, and in the evening she had a fever. She fell asleep during the dinner and we had to open our presents without her... Luckily she was able to open at least her presents in the end (she was crying a lot during the evening). When she got a bit better, me and Andulka became also ill. Andulka had also fevers and it was quite a nightmare... crying all night, we were unable to keep her temperature down. Oh well.
I love our christmas tree. I love our ornaments, mostly hand made. It´s such a beautiful decoration for the living room. I know the tree iteslf is not a perfect one, but decorated it looks perfect to me.

socks

Part of our advent calendar (late in the evening today I found another, green, sock I made for the calendar. I´ll add it tomorrow).
Marie in a new (old) dress. I would like a similar dress myself :).
M. got ill again, and I´m feeling kind of hopeless and anxious. I feel like being a mother is such a hard thing sometimes. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong and could fix it immediatelly. But maybe I´m too weak and lazy for that.

christmas baking

I made some great gingerbread cookies (they are so delicious and soft! much better than last year), and a great birthday cake for Marie, who turned four. We enjoyed our little celebration.
All the christmas presents are at home, mostly already wrapped up in fancy paper. My husband´s doing his favourite christmas jokes with presents: putting small items in big boxes so that they look big and expensive :). I kind of can´t wait, but the time is running so quickly. I know the waiting is the most beautiful part of all this. My friend Petra is incredible... I can´t imagine when´s she´s sewing, but she makes a tonne of all kinds of sewing projects. Plus she´s a great cook. And a skilled photographer.

ten years ago

Ten years ago today we got married. I promised to tell some funny stories (we had quite a crazy wedding), but I´m so so so tired now I almost can´t keep my eyes opened. Anyway, happy anniversary to us :).

snow everywhere

New "christmas" dress for Andulína, and new christmas ornaments for our tree. There is so much snow in our garden.

a year ago

A year ago at our friends´ house. Their place is one of the most beautiful homes I´ve ever seen. I loved this advent calendar they had in the kitchen and now I try to make a similar one too. I´m just sure I can´t make it equally beautiful :). I can´t believe Marie was so small, such a cutie.

beloved december is here!

I love december and I love waiting for christmas. I made this decoration for our front door yesterday. It´s made from fimo candle holder I made last year. It actually didn´t work for tall candles and was kind of weird and ugly, so I put some straw Ikea christmas ornaments on it. I love the goat! Well, probaby it´s not a goat, but I call it like that :). Also I dried some orange and lemon slices, but I don´t know how to use them yet. But dried citruses are a christmas must-have for me.

Another thing that happened: Marie is back in the bedroom, sleeping on the ground floor again. We figured it was too soon for her to sleep alone in the attic. It worked for almost half a year, but then she started to wake up during every night, sometimes two or more times during one night, crying... it was a nightmare. We made her a new bed - it´s very old, actually. Our friend gave us this old baroque bed, but there was nothing to put the mattress on. Also, the bed has quite unusual dimensions (it´s apparently a bed for adults, but people used to be smaller in the past, because it´s shorter and narrower than beds these days), so we had to built new planks and filling under the mattress. The mattress was too long: at first I thought I will cut it, but then I just bent it to fit in the bed. We are so proud to finish this! The bed´s parts were lying in the attic for one year before we managed to make it work. It´s much easier now when Marie´s sleeping there. On the other hand, Andulka is giving us hard time during the nights :). I hope it´s just the teeth causing her problems with sleeping. Oh well. Sleeping or not, we are ok.

p.s. Maybe I´ll buy (or at least try to buy) the Bartoň painting after all... I know I sound like a total idiot now :). I hate how indecisive person I sometimes am.
